Tony Parry was educated at the University of Sheffield, graduating with a Bachelor’s Degree in Metallurgy.

A Chartered Engineer, Tony has worked in divisions of transnational blue chip companies such as GKN, Burmah Castrol, ICI, Henkel AG & Co KgaA of Düsseldorf, in manufacturing operations in the speciality chemicals field at Director level in General, Sales and Marketing Management in Mexico, UK, Europe, Japan and Korea for over forty years.

He is a Director of the Devon & Cornwall Business Council, a Trustee of educational and arts organisations, and a mentor of The Prince’s Trust.

He is a former Chairman of the Plymouth, UK, Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the Plymouth Manufacturers’ Group and a former Governor of Saltash, Cornwall, Community School.

He has worked in national and International sales and market development in Japan, Korea, where he started the UK’s first manufacturing JV, Mexico, Venezuela, India, Russia, Turkey, East Asia, Central America/Caribbean, Western Europe, Eastern Mediterranean and South Africa.

Starting in 1969, Tony has worked with manufacturing industry in India since that time to the present date and in the ten years to 2008 taking the Acheson division of ICI from initial market penetration with exports to a local manufacturing presence.

Publications - Various technical papers concerning steel making, hot refractory repair in coke and glass production, and on the Republic of Korea.
